ASTANA: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Wednesday arrived in Astana, Kazakhstan to participate in the 6th Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA).
He was welcomed by the deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan. Members of the cabinet and senior officials are accompanying the premier on the two-day summit. The prime minister will present Pakistan’s perspective on regional and global issues. On the sidelines of the summit, he is also expected to meet with different leaders at fostering greater cooperation, particularly in the fields of trade, and investment.
The Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia is an inter-governmental forum for enhancing cooperation towards promoting peace, security and stability in Asia.
