ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has approved the immediate provision of twenty-three billion rupees to address the problems of the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, the PM’s office said in a statement on Monday.
According to the statement, the approval was given at a special meeting chaired by Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad today. The meeting also discussed the current situation in AJK. The Ministers and leaders of coalition parties also attended the meeting.
The statement said that the Kashmiri leadership and other participants thanked Shehbaz Sharif for the announcement about provision of funds. The Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir also took part in the meeting.
