PM Shehbaz Expresses Govt. Desire to Attract Investment From UK

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed desire to attract investment from the United Kingdom and other nations on Saturday, highlighting Pakistan’s vast potential in diverse sectors including food security, agriculture, IT, mining and tourism.

He expressed these remarks during a meeting with British High Commissioner to Pakistan Jane Marriott, who called on him at the Prime Minister House.

The meeting was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and other top officials. The prime minister stated that Islamabad and London enjoy long-standing ties that are further strengthening with the passage of time.

The PM also emphasized the government’s resolve to improving governance structures and also introducing institutional reforms.  Moreover, the PM said that the digitization process of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) was in a final phase.  The British delegation also felicitated the government’s step to declare an education emergency in Pakistan and expressed support for Islamabad’s recovery efforts.
