PM Shehbaz Sharif and Maulana Fazlur Rehman Discuss Political Issues

LAHORE: Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the chief of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-F, met with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Lahore to discuss the country’s political issues.

The meeting, held in Lahore’s Model Town, focused on various political matters, particularly events that have unfolded since May 9. The leaders engaged in a comprehensive discussion and exchanged views on the prevailing political situation in the country.

Additionally, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Maulana Fazlur Rehman deliberated on the upcoming budget, highlighting its significance and potential implications. The meeting served as an opportunity for both leaders to align their perspectives and ensure coordinated efforts within the political landscape.

The secretary of the JUI-F confirmed that a meeting of the PDM leaders would be convened soon to further address these political matters. This gathering aims to provide a platform for coalition parties to engage in meaningful discussions and establish a unified strategy moving forward.

 

Deliberation on Political Situation

Notably, this meeting builds upon a previous important interaction between Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in March. During that meeting, the PDM head extended his congratulations to PM Shehbaz for the successful legislation of the Supreme Court Practice and Procedure Bill 2023. Fazlur Rehman also expressed complete support from the coalition parties for the government’s endeavors.

The recent meeting between the two leaders indicates a continued engagement in political dialogue and a commitment to addressing the challenges facing the country.
