LAHORE: Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the chief of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-F, met with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Lahore to discuss the country’s political issues.
The meeting, held in Lahore’s Model Town, focused on various political matters, particularly events that have unfolded since May 9. The leaders engaged in a comprehensive discussion and exchanged views on the prevailing political situation in the country.
Additionally, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Maulana Fazlur Rehman deliberated on the upcoming budget, highlighting its significance and potential implications. Notably, this meeting builds upon a previous important interaction between Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in March. During that meeting, the PDM head extended his congratulations to PM Shehbaz for the successful legislation of the Supreme Court Practice and Procedure Bill 2023. Fazlur Rehman also expressed complete support from the coalition parties for the government’s endeavors.
