Agriculture Sector Contributions to Pakistan’s GDP
Investments are rising and have begun to flow due to the council’s efforts to foster a business-friendly climate. The ease of doing business is both for domestic and international investors. Through mechanized and modern farming techniques, Pakistan’s agriculture can realize its enormous potential.
Despite employing 37% of the workforce, Pakistan’s agriculture sector only makes up 23% of the country’s overall GDP. If we want to change the direction of our economy, this poor agricultural output cannot be our destiny.
The Ceremony’s emphasis today will be on model farming with frontloaded mechanization and the use of precision agriculture equipment and practices, collaboration under public-private partnerships, and investment potential in agriculture under the motto “seeing is believing.”
The PM will officially open the farm by laying the foundation stone at the location, starting the corn harvesting and sowing operations, and visualizing the Al practices under precision agriculture through drone operations for surveillance, applying pesticides, and deploying climate-smart instruments like sensors. He will additionally witness the model cotton fields.
