ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Sunday forecasted partly cloudy weather with rain-thunderstorm at isolated places in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir.
According to PMD, mainly dry weather is expected in most parts of the country, while hot weather is expected in plain areas during day time.
According to the situation, continental air prevailed over most parts of the country.
Currently, a shallow westerly wave is present over western areas of the country.
During the last 24 hours, mainly dry weather prevailed over most parts of the country, while rain occurred in different parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Rain in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
The rainfall recorded in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province was: Peshawar (Airport 5mm, City 3mm); Parachinar 20mm; Takht Bai 8mm; Cherat, Malam Jabba, Mirkhani, and Bacha Khan Airport 3mm, Chitral, Drosh, Saidu Sharif, and Kalam 1mm; and Bannu 2mm.
The highest temperatures in the country were recorded in Mithi at 40°C and in Khairpur, Rohri, Sukkur, Thatta, and Hyderabad at 37°C.
