PMD Predicts Rain, Thunderstorm at Isolated Places in GB, KP, Kashmir

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted partly cloudy and rainy weather with thunderstorm at isolated places in Gilgit-Baltistan, upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir in next 24 hours.

It said mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of Pakistan.  It added partly cloudy weather with light rain-wind and thunderstorm is expected in Islamabad and surroundings areas during the night.

In Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, mainly cold and partly cloudy weather is expected to prevail in most districts of the province while rain, thunderstorm and snowfall is likely at isolated places in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Malakand, Buner, Kohistan, Abbottabad, Manshera, Peshawar, Kurrum, Bajaur and Waziristan during night.

In Punjab, mainly dry weather is expected in most parts of the province. Cloudy weather with light rain is likely in Murree, Galliyat and surrounding areas during the night. Gusty winds are also likely in the southern part of the province.

In Balochistan, dry weather is expected in most districts of the province, while cold and partly cloudy in northern districts.

While in Sindh, dry weather is likely in most districts of the province. In Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, cloudy weather with rain, wind and snowfall is expected at isolated places in the region.

During the last 24 hours, cold and dry weather recorded over most parts of the country, while very cold in northern parts.
