ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted rain and thunderstorms in parts of Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, and Upper Punjab, local media reported on Thursday.
In Punjab, isolated thunderstorms are expected in Murree, Galiyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal, Mianwali, Khushab, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Jhang, Gujarat, Gujranwala, Kasur, Lahore, Okara, Mandi Bahauddin, Sialkot, and Narowal. In the evening and night, wind and gusty rain are expected in Layyah, Bhakkar, DG Khan, Rajanpur, Taunsa, Multan, Muzaffargarh, Khanewal, Sahiwal, Bahawalnagar, and Bahawalpur, with heavy rain anticipated at some locations.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will experience wind and thunderstorms in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Haripur, Kohistan, Shangla, Buner, Malakand, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Peshawar, Mardan, Kurram, and Kohat. Evening rain with thundershowers is expected in Karak, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Tank, Waziristan, and DI Khan.
In Sindh, warm weather is predicted for the upper districts, with hot and humid conditions in coastal areas. Dusty winds and thunderstorms are likely in the southern and central districts in the afternoon, while evening wind and gusty rains with thundershowers are expected in Sukkur, Ghotki, and Jacobabad.
Balochistan will generally remain hot and dry, but evening rain with thunder and lightning is predicted for Quetta, Ziarat, Zhob, Shirani, Kohlu, Musakhail, Loralai, Sibi, Naseerabad, Jafarabad, Dera Bugti, and Barkhan, with heavy rain expected in some areas.
