PML-N Leader Amir Muqam Pays Tribute to Martyrs on Defense Day

PESHAWAR: Pakistan Muslim League-N Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chapter President Engineer Amir Muqam has said that today is a day to honor the brave martyrs who sacrificed their lives to safeguard the nation.

He said this during his visit to the grave of Assistant Director of ISI Muhammad Sadiq Shaheed in the Dangram area of Swat district on Wednesday. The PMLN leader laid floral wreaths on the martyr’s grave and offered prayers for those who had sacrificed their lives for Pakistan.

Engineer Amir Muqam urged unity in the face of internal and external threats, akin to the unity displayed in 1965 when Pakistan successfully confronted its adversaries.

Amir Muqam acknowledged the resilience and valiant response of the Pakistan Army, other security agencies, and the entire nation in the face of the enemy’s aggression.

He praised the sacrifices made by the officers and soldiers of the Pakistan Army and other security forces in ridding the country of the scourge of terrorism.

Amir Muqam on Nuclear Tests

Amir Muqam described the 1965 war as a glorious chapter in Pakistan’s defense history, where the Pakistan Army displayed remarkable bravery on all fronts and safeguarded the motherland. He stressed the need for national unity and determination once again to address current challenges.

He also noted the critical role played by Pakistan Muslim League (N) Chief, Former Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, in fortifying the country’s defense by conducting nuclear tests in 1998.
