ISLAMABAD: Belarusian Prime Minister, Roman Golovchenko, Prime Minister of Tajikistan, Kohir Rasulzoda and Turkmenistan’s Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Rashid Meredov have arrived in Islamabad to attend the twenty-third meeting of the Council of Heads of Government (CHG) of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
Pakistan’s Minister for Law and Justice, Human Rights, and Parliamentary Affairs, Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar warmly received Belarusian Prime Minister at Islamabad International Airport while Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan warmly welcomed Tajikistan’s Prime Minister. Similarly, Pakistan’s Minister for Education and Professional Training, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui has warmly received Turkmenistan, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Rashid Meredov at the Airport. Children dressed in traditional dress presented bouquets of flowers to the distinguished dignitaries.

A red carpet was also rolled out to welcome the guests, underlining the significance of the event and the cordial ties between the two countries. The two-day meeting of SCO CHG, the second highest forum within the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), will be chaired by Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif as the current chair of the Council.
