PNS Babur Visits Aksaz Naval Base: ISPR

RAWALPINDI:  PNS Babur has participated in Pakistan Navy and Turkish Navy and also visited Aksaz Naval Base, Turkey, the military’s media wing said on Saturday. According to the Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR), the aim of the exercise is to enhance bilateral cooperation and the capacity of joint operations between the two sides. On the occasion, briefings, table discussions and exercise coordination meetings were also held on PNS Babar.

Turkish Navy ship TCG HEYBELIADA, submarine TCG DOGANAY and SH-70B helicopter with PNS Babur also participated in sea phase, the ISPR added. According to the ISPR, during the exercise, Turkish Navy Commander Southern Task Group also visited the ship.   Commanding Officer of PNS Babar and Turkish Navy Commander Southern Task Group discussed matters of mutual interest and bilateral cooperation of the two sides during the meeting.

The ISPR further said that Pakistan and Turky want to conduct TURGUTREIS exercise on regular basis.
