NEW DELHI: An elderly poet in Uttarakhand’s Pantnagar suffered a heart attack and died while reciting a poem during an event.
This unforeseen incident occurred at a poetry festival, where the elderly poet collapsed on stage while delivering his verses. A video capturing the moment has gone viral on social media, depicting the poet collapsing onto a person seated behind him mid-performance.
Organizers swiftly rushed him to the district hospital, where medical professionals declared him dead. His body was taken to ancestral town Mathura. The poet, Subhash Chaturvedi, had retired from his position as Assistant Accountant at Pantnagar University in 2014 and was residing in Jawahar Nagar.
