Police Get Five-day Physical Remand of PTI’s Yasmin Rashid

LAHORE: The Anti-Terrorism Court approved a five-day physical remand of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf ((PTI) leader and former minister, Dr. Yasmin Rashid.

Judge Abhar Gul of Lahore’s Anti-Terrorism Court heard the case against Yasmin Rashid for making provocative statements against institutions and setting fire to the premises, which the police presented him before the court.

The investigating officer of the police requested for the physical remand of Yasmin Rashid and said that a case has been registered against Yasmin Rashid in Sarwar Roor police station, which includes new provisions of sedition and inciting public riots.

Later, the court accepted the request of the police and handed over Yasmin Rashid to the police on physical remand for 5 days.
