SWAT: A policeman was martyred, and three others were wounded on Sunday when their vehicle was struck by a remote-controlled bomb explosion near Jehanabad on Malam Jabba Road in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Swat district, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Muhammad Ali Khan said.
DIG Muhammad Ali Khan said that the bomb was detonated as a police mobile unit passed by, resulting in severe injuries to the three officers. Constable Burhan embraced martyrdom in the attack, while the injured included Sub-Inspector Sar Zameen, Constable Amanullah, and Constable Habib Gul.
“As a result of the blast, Constable Burhan has embraced martyrdom, while three other policemen, including Constable Amanullah, Sub-Inspector Sar Zameen, and Constable Habib Gul, have sustained injuries,” the DIG said.

The DIG said that the bomb was detonated remotely as the police mobile passed by.
After the explosion, a significant contingent of police arrived at the scene, cordoning off the area and launching a search operation for the suspects. DIG Khan said that evidence had been collected and the investigation is ongoing.
