LAHORE: After an interval of over 20 hours, the PML-N Supremo finally delivered his speech. Addressing a rally in Model Town Lahore on Friday evening, Nawaz Sharif assigned Shehbaz Sharif to reach out to the leaders of other political parties including Asif Ali Zardari, Fazlur Rehman and Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui for the formation of a coalition government. He further said that Shehbaz Sharif and Ishaq Dar would hold meetings today, to initiate work on his suggestion.
Nawaz Sharif also informed the gathering that, beside centre, PML-N would be in a better position to form government in Punjab. T
he former Prime Minister said that it would have been better if PML-N achieved simple majority, however still they have emerged as political party having more seats in the election. He also invited all political parties and other important institutions of the country to come and work together for the development of the country.
Nawaz Invites Independent Candidates
In his speech, Nawaz Sharif also invited independent candidates to join him for making the country back on the track. He expressed that his party had no intention to fight, as in the present scenario the country could not afford it adding that to overcome the current political and economic Pakistan needed at least 10 years of stability.
Nawaz Sharif also vowed to the people of Pakistan to serve the country in a way he did before. He also reminded the people in a lighter mood, that Shehbaz Sharif has already ordered for purchasing lap tops adding that youth has an important role in building the country.
It is worth mentioning here that Asif Ali Zardari also arrived in Lahore who would hold several meetings with leadership of other political parties including PML-N about formation of the new set-up.
