Post-Hajj operations: Bacha Khan Int’l Airport Welcomes First Flight with 275 Pilgrims

PESHAWAR: The post-Hajj flight operations successfully continued on its second day to bring back around 160,000 pilgrims, with the first flight of a private airline arriving at Bacha Khan International Airport in Peshawar with 275 pilgrims on Friday.

On the first day of a month-long post-Hajj flight operation, a batch of 1,723 Hajj pilgrims arrived on seven flights from Jeddah to different destinations in Pakistan, including Multan and Lahore.

The Bacha Khan International Airport Manager, Zia Ahmed, along with hockey Olympians Rahim Khan and Musadiq Hussain, and other officials, welcomed the pilgrims.

Soon after arriving at the international arrivals terminal at Bacha Khan International Airport in Peshawar, the pilgrims were garlanded with flowers.

According to officials, PIA’s post-Hajj operations will continue until July 21 to bring back over 35,000 pilgrims from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province from Saudi Arabia through 171 flights.
