SRINAGAR: Posters were put up in Srinagar and other areas of the Kashmir Valley, pro-freedom organizations appealed to the G20 countries to put pressure on the Modi-led Indian government to resolve the Kashmir dispute according to UN resolutions.

Posters displayed by pro-freedom organizations including the Jammu and Kashmir Political Resistance Movement, the J&K Youth Resistance Forum, the Jammu Kashmir Democratic Movement and the Jammu Kashmir Youth Movement urged the world body to implement its resolutions on Kashmir and settle the dispute once and for all.

The posters read: “Play a role in the release of all detained Kashmiri political prisoners”, “India is using this international forum to legitimize its brutal repression in Indian Occupied Kashmir and spread lies about normalcy”, “Jammu and Kashmir is under Indian Army and police siege” from August 2019″.

The posters ask the G20, “Do you know that India is the worst violator of freedom of expression and opinion and do you believe in human rights and peace, if so why are you, the G20 countries, guests of the worst violator, India?

The posters called on the international community to take note of the serious human rights violations committed by Indian soldiers in the occupied territory.

The posters appealed to the G20 members to realize that India’s ulterior motives behind holding the meeting of the group in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) were nothing but to hide its anti-Kashmir agenda and to demand UN resolutions from the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
