SRINAGAR, Occupied Kashmir: Posters have emerged across Srinagar and various regions of the Kashmir valley in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, calling upon the United Nations to intervene and address the occupied Kashmir conflict in line with its resolution from January 1949.

Reportedly disseminated by pro-freedom groups, these posters highlight the ongoing denial by India of the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination, a right recognized by a UN Security Council resolution passed on January 5, 1949.

The posters assert that the current Indian government led by Narendra Modi, supported by the RSS, has systematically curtailed fundamental rights of Kashmiris and is further seizing their properties, lands, homes, businesses, and offices under oppressive laws. They accuse the Modi administration of imposing the Hindutva agenda, violating international laws within the UN-designated disputed region.

Describing the treatment of Kashmiris by India as akin to slavery, the posters stress the urgency for the UN to uphold its resolutions and resolve the Kashmir conflict. They underscore the plight of the besieged Kashmiri populace, enduring the harshness of Indian security forces’ actions.

These posters have gained traction on various social media platforms, including Facebook and “X”.
