ISLAMABAD: President Dr. Arif Alvi has underscored the importance of increasing women’s participation in the workforce, especially after they have completed their education.

Speaking at the convocation of Foundation University in Islamabad, he highlighted the responsibility of the state in ensuring the protection of women against harassment.

The President drew attention to a concerning statistic that approximately twenty million children in Pakistan are currently out of school. In response, he called on all segments of society to collaborate and address this critical issue, emphasizing the need for collective efforts to provide quality education to these children.

Furthermore, President Arif Alvi emphasized the significance of having graduates in various fields, including medicine and engineering, to contribute to the nation’s development. However, he also stressed the importance of creating opportunities for these graduates within Pakistan to prevent the phenomenon of “brain drain,” where talented individuals seek employment and opportunities abroad.

President Arif Alvi’s address highlighted the importance of women’s participation in the workforce, the state’s responsibility in safeguarding their rights, and the urgent need to address the education gap affecting millions of children in Pakistan. Additionally, he emphasized the value of retaining skilled graduates within the country to contribute to its growth and development.
