President Alvi Hails CPEC’s Role in Strengthening Pakistan-China Relations

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s President, Dr. Arif Alvi, said on Wednesday that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has played a crucial role in expanding and fortifying the bilateral ties between Beijing and Islamabad.

During a meeting with Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Khalil-ur-Rahman Hashmi, at Aiwan-e-Sadr, the president highlighted the extensive road network developed across the country and the inclusion of strategically important infrastructure projects within the framework of CPEC.

President Alvi Emphasizes Significance of Pakistan-China Relations

Referring to China as a brotherly nation and a permanent strategic partner, President Alvi emphasized the special significance of the bilateral relationship. He noted that China holds the position of being Pakistan’s largest trading partner and a significant source of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).

President Alvi underscored the importance of cultural and educational exchanges for fostering strong friendship between the two countries. Congratulating the newly appointed ambassador to China, he expressed optimism that the strategic partnership would further strengthen in the future.

In his directives to the ambassador, the president urged a deepening of trade, economic, and cultural relations with China.
