WASHINGTON: The White House said Wednesday that US President Joe Biden would host NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg for dialogue on June 12, one month before the alliance’s summit, with Ukraine on the agenda.
White House spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre said the two leaders would review preparations for the NATO summit in Lithuania and “discuss members’ support for Kyiv in the face of Moscow’s war of aggression.”

The military alliance leaders are due to convene on July 11-12 in Vilnius, Lithuania. Stoltenberg’s mandate as the Secretary General of NATO is due to complete in October. When asked regarding a possible extension of that term, the spokesperson did not want to comment, but said: “The NATO Secretary General has done an outstanding job… in the critical time.”
She told the journalists, that the White House was very grateful for his role and leadership.
