ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday lauded the security forces for conducting a successful intelligence-based anti-terror operation in Bajaur, local media reported.
President Zardari and PM Sharif, in separately issued statements, lauded the gallantry of the personnel and officers of the security forces in eliminating nine terrorists including suicide bombers and a mastermind of terrorists in Bajaur.
“The whole country is united against terrorism. The people and the security forces will collectively foil the evil designs of terrorists,” the president stated and reiterated the nation’s resolve for continuous action till the elimination of terrorists.
The PM said that the entire country stood to support their forces in the war against terrorism. The war against terrorism will continue till its elimination of this scourge in toto, he said.
