BEIJING: Chinese President Xi Jinping has said that artificial intelligence (AI) is a key driving force for the new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation, and will have a profound effect on global economic and the progress of human civilization. He made these remarks in a congratulatory letter to the World Intelligence Expo 2024. The event opened in north China’s Tianjin Municipality on Thursday.
He said that his country attaches high importance to the development of AI, big data, actively promotes the integration of the Internet, and Artificial Intelligence with the real economy, cultivates and strengthens the industry, and establish the development of new productive forces, to provide new driving forces for development.
He noted that China is willing to work with other nations to seize the opportunities brought regarding by the progress in digitalization, networking and technologies; deepen global cooperation in Artificial Intelligence development, promote economic growth and improve the well-being of the people across the world.
