LARKANA: President Asif Ali Zardari visited Garhi Khudabakhsh on Friday on the occasion of the 71st birthday of the Pakistan former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.
According to a statement issued by the Presidency, he visited the graveyard of Bhutto family and laid wreaths on the graves of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto, Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and othered Fatiha.
The President also recited the Holy Quran and spent some time in the shrines. Faryal Talpur, the sister of President Asif Ali Zardari, was also with him on this occasion
MPA Jameel Ahmed Soomro, MPA Sahail Anwar Syal, MNA Khursheed Ahmed Junejo welcomed the President upon his arrival in Garhi Khudabakhsh. The President also attended a cake cutting ceremony in Garhi Khuda Baksh Bhutto.
Earlier, the 71st birth anniversary former Prime Minister, Slain Chairperson of PPP Benazir Bhutto, was celebrated on Tuesday with great zeal and enthusiasm by PPP workers at the Garhi Khuda Bakhsh.
PPP Larkana district also arranged a big public gathering of the cake cutting ceremony at Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Stadium Larkana on Tuesday evening on the eve of the 71st birth anniversary of former Prime Minister and slain Chairperson of PPP Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.
The function was presided over by Chairman of PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. Addressing on the occasion, he vowed to continue struggling for her ideals.
Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto said that Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto is the name of a way of thinking and a path that guarantees liberation of the people from deprivation.
