ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Mohammad Shehbaz Sharif contacted President of Tajikistan Imam Ali Rahman by telephone on Sunday to congratulate him on the occasion of Eid al-Adha. The Prime Minister extended his best wishes for peace, prosperity, and development to President Rahman and the people of Tajikistan.
President Rahman reciprocated with his congratulations and appreciated the strong brotherly ties between Pakistan and Tajikistan. Both leaders expressed satisfaction with the positive trajectory of bilateral relations and reiterated their shared desire to enhance ties through trade, energy, and connectivity.
They also discussed the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in Astana, committing to strengthening regional unity and cooperation. Additionally, they agreed to continue working together to promote peace and stability in the Muslim world and the region.
The telephonic exchange on Eid al-Adha underscores the strong friendship and brotherly relations between Pakistan and Tajikistan.
