Princess Haifa Says World Should Take Collective Step to Achieve UN 2030 Agenda

PARIS: The world should take collective steps to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN 2030 Agenda, which include the provision of clean water, combating poverty, and ending starvation, said Princess Haifa bint Abdulaziz bin Muhammad bin Ayyaf, Arab media reported on Thursday.

According to the state-run news agency of Saudi Arabia SPA, Princess Haifa, the permanent representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) to UNESCO and Chair of the World Heritage Committee, exchanged views on the value of uniting efforts, steps, and strengthening common targets in times of crises such as pandemics and wars.

She said that the provision of support for nations most in need was vital and lauded the agenda of the Executive Council during the 216th meeting of the UNESCO Program.

The responsibility of member nations in achieving the mission of UNESCO via the Program and External Relations Commission was also emphasized.
