PESHAWAR: In demand for resolution to the problem of their ownership stake in the coal mines, local protesters blocked the Indus Highway in Dara Adam Khel, leaving hundreds of vehicles stranded.
There were long traffic jams for several kilometers due to the demonstration. Due to the main highway closure, even ambulances and sick people were stuck in the worst traffic jam, the only connecting road between the provincial capital, Peshawar, and southern districts.
