RAWALPINDI: Peshawar Zalmi will take on Quetta Gladiators in the 25th fixture of the eighth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) at the Pindi Cricket Stadium here today.
Peshawar sits fourth on the points table, having won half of the six matches they have played in the season so far, as the Babar Azam-led side looks to put up a show in the coming game and ease through the Gladiators.
The latter, on the other hand, have failed to string consecutive wins under their belt and thus, are placed at a precarious position at the botton most spot in the points table, having won just two out of the eight games they played. Quetta needs to win both of their remaining games to stand a chance to qualify for the knockout round.

Peshawar Zalmi handed over Lahore Qalandars their second defeat of the ongoing PSL season. Youngster Saim Ayub and skipper Babar Azam scored brilliant fifties before Zalmi’s bowling line wreaked havoc on Qalandars top batting order, helping Peshawar seal a commanding 35-run victory in the 23rd match of PSL 8.
Meanwhile, Islamabad United battled past Multan Sultans by two wickets in a closely contested 24th fixture, chasing down a huge total of 209 with one ball to spare.
