LAHORE: In the upcoming clash at Multan Cricket Stadium on Tuesday at 7 pm, the undefeated Multan Sultans of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 9 will go head-to-head against Islamabad United.
Multan’s dominance was evident in their 55-run victory over Karachi Kings, while Islamabad showcased their prowess by thrashing defending champions Lahore by eight wickets in their respective opening matches of the tournament.
Although Multan’s skipper Muhammad Rizwan had a quiet start, his team’s cohesive performance sent a warning to their rivals.
Meanwhile, Islamabad, led by their captain Shadab Khan, exhibited resilience against Lahore’s formidable bowling attack.
Unlike the previous season, PSL 9 has witnessed high-scoring encounters, thanks to the batting-friendly pitches prepared by the groundsmen. With the tournament still in its early stages, predicting the outcome of today’s match remains uncertain. However, Multan holds the advantage of playing on their home turf.
