PSX Witnesses Bullish Trend, Gains 141 Points

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) 100-index witnessed a bullish trend on Tuesday, gaining 141.35 points, a positive change of 0.29%, closing at 48,565.75 points against 48,424.40 points the previous trading day.

A total of 251,692,333 shares were traded during the day in contrast to 368,334,990 shares the previous day, whereas the shares’ prices stood at 9.038 billion rupees against 17.063 billion rupees on the last trading day.

In the stock market, 340 companies transacted their shares; 160 of them registered gains and 155 suffered losses, whereas the share price of twenty-five companies remained unchanged.

Top-trading companies in PSX

The three high-trading companies were K-Electric Ltd with 32,221,592 shares at 2.36 rupees per share; WorldCall Telecom with 26,238,028 shares at 1.22 rupees per share and Dewan Motors with 16,932,604 shares at 14.08 rupee per share.

Nestle Pakistan XD registered a maximum increase of 118.00 rupees per share price, closing at 7,299.00 rupees, whereas the runner-up was Al-Abbas Sugar, with a 33.70 rupees rise in its per share price to 483.80 rupees.

Sapphire Tex registered a maximum fall of 27.45 rupees per share closing at 1,050.11 rupees; followed by Colgate Palm with 11.75 rupees decline to close at 1,355.75 rupees.
