ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) hosted a one-day photo exhibition at the Pakistan National Council of Arts (PNCA), focusing on the picturesque mountainous regions of the country.
The event, inaugurated by renowned mountaineer Nazir Sabir and PTDC’s Managing Director Aftab ur Rehman Rana, featured 57 captivating photographs from the successful Salam Pakistan photography competition. The exhibition highlighted tourist destinations in mountain areas, drawing attention to the breathtaking landscapes and promoting the scenic wonders of Pakistan.
The Salam Pakistan photography competition, organized in anticipation of International Mountain Day, received a total of 378 entries in the professional category and 110 entries in the amateur category. Participants submitted their photographs online, showcasing the diverse beauty of mountainous regions.

A four-member jury evaluated the submissions and selected winners in both the professional and amateur categories. Muhammad Asmar Hussain secured the first position in the professional category, while Mushahid Hussain claimed the top spot in the amateur category.
The winners were honored with certificates and cash prizes in recognition of their outstanding contributions. The exhibition served as a platform to display the 57 selected photographs, providing a visual feast for visitors and highlighting the natural wonders that make Pakistan a unique tourist destination.
