ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Interior Minister, Rana Sanaullah, claimed on Tuesday that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief had failed to present any evidence to the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) investigating the assassination attempt on his life.

Speaking at a press conference, Sanaullah stated that the PTI chief had admitted to making hearsay allegations and that the JIT had deemed him a liar for making false claims.

Regarding the May 9 vandalism incident, Sanaullah stated that investigations were ongoing and that shocking facts would emerge in the coming days. He accused the PTI chief of planning to incite provocation and impose his own malicious agenda by ruling the country. Sanaullah claimed that the PTI chief had been involved in brainwashing party workers and that those responsible for the vandalism would be brought to justice.

Sanaullah further revealed that the PTI chief had been busy forming a “Tiger Force” consisting of one million people. He assured the public that developments would unfold regarding the audios, videos, statements, and events that occurred on May 9.

Rana Sanaullah Says Nawaz Sharif to Return Before Elections

Regarding the return of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif, Sanaullah stated that it was solely up to Nawaz Sharif himself to decide when to return to the country. He emphasized that no one except Nawaz Sharif could determine the date of his return.

Sanaullah predicted that Nawaz Sharif would return to Pakistan 60-90 days before the general elections and that if the PML-N secured a majority, the next prime minister would be chosen by Nawaz Sharif.

Sanaullah clarified that the PML-N had not made any decisions regarding seat adjustments or political alliances. He expressed his personal opinion that the PML-N should not opt for a political alliance in the upcoming elections.
