LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman and former prime minister on Thursday challenged the cancellation of his interim bails in the Lahore High Court.

The seven cases also include Jinnah House attack. Barrister Salman Safdar is representing PTI chairman and the hearing is expected to start today.

PTI chairman has maintained the stance that he is victimised and all the cases against him are politically motivated. He asked the court for a hearing of the interim bail pleas on merit.

The Anti-Terrorism Court earlier rejected the bail pleas of PTI chief in May 9 incident and allowed authorities to go ahead with the arrest of the political leader.

The court was told the PTI stalwart was convicted under the Election Act and is at present serving his time in Attock Jail.

PTI Chairman was taken into police custody in Lahore from his residence on August 5. The court decision came with a five-year disqualification and a three-year prison term in the Toshakhana case.
