The court had granted him a few minutes to appear after the initial deadline of 5pm lapsed.

It warned his lawyers that the judges would leave if the PTI chief and former prime minister did not reach the courtroom in the given time.

Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh had directed him to appear before the court in person for hearing his protective bail petition in a case pertaining to protests outside the ECP (Election Commission of Pakistan).

LHC noted the discrepancy in PTI chief documents

Last week, the LHC had noted the discrepancy in the documents of Imran Khan during the bail plea hearing.

When the hearing resumed on Monday after multiple suspensions, the counsel for the former prime minister advocate Khawaja Tariq Rahim admitted that the bail petition was not signed by Imran Khan.
