LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is going to celebrate Supreme Court verdict in the polls delay case today (Wednesday) at Lahore after Isha prayers.
The Imran-led party announced to observe Youm-e-Tashakur at Liberty Chowk here. PTI leader Hammad Azhar has said that Imran Khan’s speech will be aired live across the country. Earlier in the day, former prime minister and PTI chairman Imran Khan said that the Sharif family would not accept an independent judiciary.
While addressing th party workers via a video link, Khan said that the rulers think that the PTI would be weakened by October and later they will go for elections. He added that PTI would never weaken by October.
“Sharif family has a history… they won’t accept independent judiciary. The Sharif family is running a campaign against the judges today. It is the same PML-N which dropped pictures from aircraft in the past.”
Criticising the Pakistan Democratic Movement parties, Imran Khan said that they are afraid of facing defeat in the elections. “The government personalities are extending threats to families of the judges and spreading fear among people.”

Imran Khan termed the Supreme Court decision ‘historic’. was of the view that the nation should celebrate the apex court verdict in the polls delay case ‘because they are heading towards real independence’.
