PTI Withdraws Request for Public Rally in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has withdrawn a petition seeking permission for a rally and sit-in in Islamabad on Tuesday.

A hearing was held in the Islamabad High Court on PTI’s request for permission to hold a rally and sit-in in Islamabad. On this occasion, the lawyer of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf requested to withdraw the petition, which was accepted by Chief Justice Amir Farooq. It should be noted that the PTI leadership had decided to stage a sit-in at Faizabad Chowk Rawalpindi and the PTI leaders submitted a request to the administration for security arrangements.

Talking to the media after the hearing, PTI leader Asad Umar said that the nation has given a message to the decision-makers and all the people that ”this is the new Pakistan”. Regarding the security of Imran Khan, the PTI leader said that the news was coming earlier that Khan’s life was in danger, the decisions of life and death have to be made by Allah, and the security arrangements that will be seen this time are unprecedented.

According to Asad Umar, Imran Khan has also been convinced of these arrangements with difficulty. Regarding the rally in Rawalpindi, the former minister said that Rawalpindi is a sensitive area but they will make strict security arrangements. ”There is only one way to avoid chaos and that is elections” he, stated.
