QUETTA: Former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan was on Wednesday implicated in the murder case of a Supreme Court lawyer, Abdul Razzaq Shar a day after PML-N leader Atta Tarar said that PTI chief was behind the killing.
The case — the second in the day — was registered at Shaheed Jameel Kakar Police Station in Quetta on the complaint of the son of the deceased under clauses dealing with murder and terrorism. The lawyer was shot dead in a deadly shooting that sparked widespread condemnation from the legal fraternity.
On Tuesday, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) Ataullah Tarar held PTI Chairman Imran Khan “directly responsible” for the murder of Advocate Shar who was also a complainant in a high treason case against the PTI chief.
Separately, Islamabad police on Wednesday registered a case against PTI chief, his wife and others for fraud in connection with the Toshakhana gifts.
