ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has rejected the petition of PTI MPs for the disqualification of former President Asif Zardari’s sister, Faryal Talpur.
Tehreek-e-Insaf has received another shock from the Election Commission, as the Election Commission has rejected the petition of Pakistan Tehreek-e- Insaf MPs for the disqualification of former President Asif’s sister Faryal Talpur. The Election Commission has said in its decision that Faryal Talpur had disclosed assets, concrete evidence is required for the disqualification of assembly members, but Tehreek-e-Insaf failed to present concrete evidence against Faryal Talpur.
PTI plea
It may be noted that Tehreek-e- Insaf MPs Arsalan Taj and Rabia Azfar had accused Faryal Talpur of concealing assets. On their plea, the Election Commission had reserved its decision after hearing arguments on October 27.
