ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb expressed her excitement at the launch of PTVFlix, which would connect the “nostalgic” viewers with a national treasure, including the golden era of Pakistan Television (PTV).
Taking to Twitter, the minister said the project was initiated in July last year, a new video streaming OTT platform on which users worldwide can access PTV’s vast library of content, including TV dramas, documentaries, shows, sports, and other programs.
She said that PTV had produced content over the years that has become a national treasure.
She further said that PTV popular dramas and shows like Dhoop Kinaray, and Aynakwala Jin have become a part of the collective memories of the Pakistani nationals.
She said that PTVFlix has a rich library of old and current content that users can easily access.
PTV’s remarkable content
Marriyuam Aurangzeb said this initiative would reconnect youth and elders with PTV’s remarkable content, which has greatly impacted countless lives.
The app can be downloaded on both iOS and Android platforms.
The minister expressed her gratitude to the Information and Broadcasting Ministry and PTV team for the successful launch of PTV Flix.
