Punjab Records 1187 Road Accidents, 19 Deaths in 24 Hours

LAHORE: Punjab has recorded 1187 road accidents across all 37 districts, killing 19 people and injuring 1316 others in the past 24 hours.

Out of 1316 injured people, 610 with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals, while 706 with minor injuries received treatment at the accident scenes by rescue medical teams.

Furthermore, Analysis revealed that the victims included 676 drivers, 41 underage drivers, 142 pedestrians, and 517 passengers.

Out of total 1187 accidents, Lahore reported the highest number of accidents at 231, affecting 266 people, followed by Faisalabad with 94 accidents and 102 victims, and Multan with 80 accidents and 82 victims.

The vehicles involved in these accidents included 1091 motorbikes, 63 auto-rickshaws, 117 cars, 28 vans, 10 buses, 29 trucks, and 96 other types of vehicles and carts.
