LAHORE: At Punjab University, Lahore, tensions escalated on Thursday as a clash erupted between two student groups, resulting in the arrest of at least 18 students by the Lahore police.
The altercation, which occurred on the university premises, saw heated arguments between the factions, although the exact cause of the dispute remains unclear.
Despite the intervention of law enforcement officials, several students managed to evade capture, further complicating the situation. Superintendent of Police (SP) Iqbal emphasized the ongoing efforts to apprehend the remaining suspects involved in the altercation, underscoring the urgency to restore peace and order on the campus.
