MOSCOW: Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, predicted on Friday that Ukraine’s counteroffensive would fail as its forces attempted to push in many areas, including the Zaporizhzhia region to the southeast.
Putin stated at a yearly business symposium in Saint Petersburg, “I think that the Ukrainian armed forces stand no chance here, as well as in other directions. I have no doubt about that.”
The Kremlin did not grant accreditation to AFP or journalists from other nations it considers “unfriendly” were not allowed to cover the meeting.
