ISLAMABAD: Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) Islamabad has recently announced need-based scholarships for the Fall-2023 Semester in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
Official sources state that applications are open exclusively for students enrolled in regular BS and BS (Lateral Entry) degree programs. However, those enrolled in Self-Finance, Self-Support, Evening, or Weekend programs are not eligible for this scholarship opportunity.
The eligibility criteria emphasize that scholarships will be granted solely to financially disadvantaged and highly deserving undergraduate students. Verification of the provided information will be conducted through thorough cross-checking during physical verification processes, according to reliable sources.
It is emphasized that the scholarship may be revoked at any point if a student is penalized due to violations of university rules, damage to university property, misconduct with staff or peers, or any disciplinary actions.
Additionally, the submission of false information or any discrepancies will result in disqualification, the recovery of the entire granted amount, and initiation of disciplinary proceedings. Incomplete forms will not be considered.
Quaid-i-Azam University will meticulously review all application forms, and only shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews by the Institutional Scholarship Award Committee (ISAC).
Applications received after the specified deadline will not be entertained, as per sources. Limited scholarship slots are available, and the approval, availability of funds, and the release of grants by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) determine the scholarship award and its continuity.
Prospective applicants must submit the fully completed HEC Need-Based Scholarship form, along with supporting documents as outlined in the checklist, to the Office of Students’ Financial Assistance, Room No. 17, Administration Block, by December 12, 2023.
