Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s Sculpture Unveiled in Beijing

BEIJING: The sculpture of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was unveiled at a graceful ceremony held at the Jintai Art Museum on Thursday.

The sculpture, unveiled by Pakistan Ambassador to China Moin ul Haque, is a testament to Quaid’s visionary leadership and was masterfully crafted by the well-knowned Chinese sculptor Master Yuan Xikun, symbolizing the enduring and long-lasting friendship between Pakistan and China.

The event was attended by Ambassador Sha Zukhang, President of the China-Pakistan Friendship Association, Chinese People’s Association of Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) officials, media, the Pakistani community, and Embassy staff.

Master Yuan Xikun, internationally acclaimed for his sculpture, environmental advocacy, and philanthropy has received a number of prestigious awards.

His work includes twenty-five sculptures of historical world celebrities at the International Celebrities Sculpture Garden of Beijing Jintai Art Museum.

Speaking on the occasion, envoy Moin ul Haque underscored the importance of this unveiling ceremony, coinciding with the 75th death anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

He appreciated Master Yuan’s artistic brilliance and attention to detail in making this sculpture.

Haque stressed the deep bonds between Pakistan and China, and reiterated their commitment to a China-Pakistan Community of Shared Future.

He also recalled Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s vision of “peace within and peace without” and its relevance to the Paksiatn-China friendship.

He stressed the role of public diplomacy in fostering appreciation, understanding, and collaboration between countries, pledging to uphold the vision of their founding fathers and strengthen cultural relations.

Honour in sculpting Jinnah

Master Yuan expressed his honour at sculpting Jinnah and his hope to spread the great leader’s ideas through art.

He linked Jinnah’s transcendent ideals to those of other world sages showcased in his sculptures. Through this initiative, the artist aimed to inspire future generations by showcasing the shared progressive ideas of mankind.
