QUETTA: Quetta, the capital of Balochistan, along with its surrounding areas, experienced tremors from an earthquake.
The seismic activity struck the region at 6:09 am on Saturday, registering a magnitude of 4.6 on the Richter scale, according to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre in Islamabad.
The earthquake originated from the Hindukush region in Afghanistan, with a depth of 98 kilometers, as reported by the monitoring center.
Initial assessments indicated no casualties or damage resulting from the tremors. Nevertheless, residents were seen evacuating their homes and offices as a precautionary measure.
