MAKKAH: The team of Saudi Red Crescent Authority (SRCA) in Makkah has swiftly responded to a medical emergency at the Grand Mosque of Makkah and successfully revived a Pakistani Umrah pilgrim who had lost consciousness and suffered cardiac arrest, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Friday.

The SRCA received an alert at 11:19 AM, reporting an unconscious Umrah pilgrim at the King Fahd Walkway. Ambulance teams were immediately dispatched to the scene and found the pilgrim, a man in his 50s, unresponsive.

Utilizing the defibrillator (AED) available at the Grand Mosque, the SRCA team swiftly initiated cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) using the “LUCAS” device. Their timely intervention revived the Umrah performer’s pulse, and he was subsequently shifted to a medical facility for further care.

The remarkable rescue underscores the dedication and professionalism of the SRCA’s emergency medical services.
