HAMBURG: Hamburg, Germany, came to a standstill to meet Taylor Swift in the pouring rain. “I’m surrounded by an entire sold-out crowd of people who would dance with me in the rain,” Swift told the audience at the Volksparkstadion during her “Lover” era on Tuesday.

With her pink guitar slung over her shoulder, the bedazzled singer greeted fans in the open-roof stadium, pumping them up for a night of memories — and precipitation. “I do not know if you have heard this about us, but here on the Eras Tour, we adore a rain show,” Taylor stated as her hair collected water. “I think a rain show only chooses a crowd that is completely worthy and ready to party with us all night in the rain.”

The rain poured, and the crowd cheered. “I thought so,” Swift smiled. By her “Fearless” era, her hair was drenched, and the rain ricocheted off the stage.

Many fans shared photos and videos on X, formerly Twitter, of dancing and holding hand hearts in the rain. One user joked about Swift’s guitarist Paul Sidoti, known for his big hair, saying even his locks could not withstand the downpour.

The rain halted during the “Red” era. AccuWeather had predicted rain for the first hour of the show, issuing a heavy thunderstorms warning. “There is a risk of heavy thunderstorms with gale- or storm-force gusts and heavy rain (level 2 of 4),” the website stated for Tuesday night in northern Germany.

Swift has nine more cities left on the Eras Tour, which will officially end in 138 days on Dec. 8.
