Rain Expected at Isolated Parts of Pakistan: PMD

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted predominantly hot and humid weather for most low-lying areas of the country.

However, there is a chance of rain, wind, and thunderstorms at isolated places in upper parts of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Potohar region, Islamabad, Kashmir, northeast Punjab, and Gilgit-Baltistan.

According to the synoptic situation, continental air prevails over most parts of the country, while a shallow westerly wave is present over the northern regions.

Hot and humid weather has dominated most parts of the country during the previous 24 hours. 

However, rainfall has been recorded in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Malam Jabba 04mm, Gilgit-Baltistan’s Skardu 04mm, and Hunza and Bagrote 01mm.

The highest temperatures registered in the last 24 hours were as follows: Dalbandin 42°C, Bhakkar, Dera Ismail Khan, Dadu, and Nokkundi 41°C.”
