ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasts rain coupled with windstorms, thunderstorms, and light snowfall over hills in Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), upper Punjab, and Islamabad today. It said that predominantly dry weather is expected in most regions of the country.
The Met office predicted rain accompanied by thunderstorms in Islamabad and its surroundings, with additional rain expected in Murree, Galiat, and various parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Musakhel, Chaman, Ziarat, and Quetta may experience thunderstorms, gusty winds, lightning, and rainfall, the PMD said. The weather will remain dry in most areas of Lahore. However, Lahore maintains its position among the world’s most polluted cities today, with an average Air Quality Index of 207.
This morning, temperatures in major cities were recorded as follows: Islamabad 17°C, Lahore 21°C, Karachi 25°C, Peshawar 19°C, Quetta 15°C, Gilgit 12°C, Murree 8°C, and Muzaffarabad 14°C.
