Rain, Snow Expected in Several Parts of Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Temperatures may further decrease in Pakistan, as the Met Office on Monday predicted rain with snowfall for the mountainous areas in western and upper parts of the South Asian country. However, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, south Punjab, the Pothohar region, Kashmir, and adjacent hilly areas are anticipated to experience rain, wind, and thunderstorms, with the possibility of snowfall in the hills. Additionally, isolated hailstorms are predicted in some areas, with potential heavy precipitation in northern and south-western Balochistan.

This morning’s temperatures in major cities were as follows: Islamabad and Muzaffarabad at five degrees Celsius, Lahore and Peshawar at eleven, Karachi at twenty-two, Quetta at two, Gilgit at three, and Murree at zero degrees Celsius.

In the forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Srinagar, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramulla are expected to have cloudy skies with chances of rain, wind, thunderstorms, and snow, while Jammu may experience cloudy conditions with chances of rain and thunderstorms.

Major cities temperature are: Srinagar, Anantnag, and Shopian at zero degrees Celsius, Jammu at nine, Leh at minus twelve, and Pulwama and Baramulla at minus one degree Celsius.
